Word Catch
Build words from the letters on the wheel and use them to fill in the crossword. 356 levels, a hand-curated 2028-word dictionary, playable without an internet connection.
The game is in Russian. Its interface and its entire dictionary are Russian, and there is no English version yet. We say so here rather than let you find out after installing.
How it works
- One swipe per word
- Drag a line across the letters on the wheel - no need to hit buttons precisely.
- Every word has a place on the board
- If the letters you are shown can form a real word, that word is in the crossword. Spelling a real word and being told it does not exist cannot happen here - that is the rule the game is built around.
- The dictionary is curated by hand
- Not scraped: scraped lists carry junk that shows players "words" nobody knows. Nouns only, three letters and up.
- Free, with no in-app purchases
- The game lives on advertising but never interrupts play with it: you start a video yourself, when coins run short of a hint. Nothing between levels, no banners. No accounts, no purchases.
- Plays without an internet connection
- The dictionary and every level ship inside the app. A network is needed only for advertising - without one the game can be finished in full.
